This manuscript contains three mentalism experiments that can be performed practically anywhere, at almost any time. They require very little preparation, can be performed impromptu, and take up virtually no space in your pockets. But the methods are not the main focus. Because even the best method is useless if the presentation is weak. A technically perfect effect does not automatically create a powerful mentalism experience. That is why presentation is at the heart of this manuscript.
It will explore several different ways of talking about your abilities as a mentalist and, more importantly, how you can put those abilities to the test through the three experiments.

The lift of Joy
Two identical coins are marked with a smiling and a sad face. A participant secretly places one coin into each hand and merely thinks of the happy coin. By testing the natural resistance in the participant’s arms, the mentalist correctly identifies the hand holding the smiling coin. Two Truths and a Lie
A spectator is invited to make three statements about themselves. Two are true, and one is a lie. After analyzing the spectator’s reactions, the mentalist identifies the one statement that is a lie.
Three Impressions
Three spectators each make a simple drawing of tree. The drawings are collected, mixed, and thoroughly separated from their creators. Without asking a single question, the mentalist studies the drawings and correctly determines which drawing belongs to which spectator. This includes a detailed explanation and examples of how to give a reading, along with the performance.
